Dear Chestnut Grower/Levy Payer,

As previously reported the CAI Executive Committee has been considering the current situation in relation to the Chestnut Statutory Levies and Charges and has prepared a proposition for consideration by ALL known Australian Chestnut Growers.

The CAI Executive Committee has prepared a number of documents which are attached for Growers/Levy Payers to consider.

At the Annual General Meeting, to be held on Saturday 13th of September 2025 in Wangaratta, there will be an opportunity to have input into the proposal.

Following this a formal vote will be undertaken through a CONFIDENTIAL Ballot. This will open on Monday 15th of September and close on Friday 25th of October 2025.

ALL Growers/Levy Payers are encouraged to cast their vote.

If you require any additional information you have a number of options:

  1. Attend the AGM and ask questions.
  2. Talk to any member of the CAI Executive Committee
  3. Talk to Trevor Ranford, CAI Industry Development/Communications Officer.

The process of input by Growers/Levy Payers is now open.

Regards,

Trevor
