Irrigation and Soil Tools – outputs from the Tri-Nut Climate Smart Project

Through the linkages with Hazelnuts and Walnuts, the Chestnut industry has been fortunate to participate in a Climate – Smart funded Project.

The Project is titled “National Expansion of Adaptation to Nut Farming Trial – Managing Water and Soil in a Changing Climate”.

As part of the project chestnut growers were encouraged to complete a survey on irrigation/water. Many of you responded.

All of the material collected across the three industries has now been collated.

A full report is being finalized but will be made available.

In the meantime, the Project Team has prepared:

  • A project overview
  • Three initial Tech Sheets relating to irrigation
  • A fourth fact sheet building from the Irrigation session on the 14th of February.

We hope that you will gain some useful information from the attached material.
